After all the recent bad press hospitals have been getting, I felt I had to fly the flag for Lister Hospital. Today 18.07.13 I visited the TIA Clinic on the 6th Floor. This appointment was made 1 day after visiting my GP. Firstly the Receptionist was friendly and helpful. I only waited a few minutes before seeing the Doctor, who again was extremely helpful, professional and informative. I had to have a CAT scan and an Ultra sound, all the staff concerned could not have been more friendly, efficient or helpful. Both scans were again carried out very quickly. I really just wanted to say 'well done & thank you' to all concerned. David Seager ps Could not show correct department as TIA clinic not an option

As you say, it's always great to read good feedback and in at least 75% of responses posted on these NHS Choices pages, people using the Lister's various services report excellent care. But that doesn't mean that we are anyway less pleased to read your kind words, especially for a service like our TIA clinic where the patients using it are often very concerned about their health and future life prospects. Which is why it's even more important that people are seen quickly and expertly, but always with kindness and respect. We'll make sure that the team in the clinic get to read your feedback - which we know will delight them. Finally - and this is really just for your information - the NHS Choices system is run nationally, so we have no real control over the options people are given in terms of posting their comments. We choose from a fixed menu, but we'll revisit to see if there's something more appropriate for TIA services - and if not, we'll make that suggestion to the national NHS Choices team.
