Anything else?
I was admitted around midnight in mid march after attending A&E with extreme stomach cramps at 16 weeks pregnant. I was admitted very quickly and given pain relief. I was diagnosis within 2 hours with appendicitis. I cannot fault the hospital for how quickly they dealt with the situation. My operation to remove my appendix was scheduled for 11am the very next day. Staff were brilliant in monitoring my babies heartbeat before as well as straight after I came out of the operation. I spent 3 days on mulberry ward which was clean and bright. My pain was constantly monitored by all the staff and Both me and baby recovered quickly. The only thing I can fault is that staff attempted to give me a bed bath just 2 hours after I had been on the ward from my surgery which I did find a little distressing as I was still coming round properly from the anaesthetic. My only suggestion is that the staff ask patients whether it is ok to give them a bed bath instead of just going ahead and pulling at their clothes. However apart from this small issue I was extremely happy with my care and felt I was supported well at this difficult time. I look forward to having a positive birthing experience at this hospital in 4 weeks time
"Very happy with almost everything"
