hi my name is Julie Greenwood. Back in 1986 i started to have pulpertations,my mum took me to the doctors and they could not find nothing wrong with me,as the years went on i learned to live with it. Then in Jan 2012 i had been to my sisters birthday for a drink, got home all seemed normal,on the sunday my heart felt as if it was beating fast but then died off a bit then in the evening while relaxing it started again,i asked my daughter it fell my heart rate just to see if i was inmagining it,We called N>H>S direct and they sent out a ambulance when it arrived they took my pulse it was 220 beats i was giggling and felt very well, they rushed me in and i wondered what all the fuss was about , and over a period of a year i was in and out of hospital must of been about 20-30 times, with my heart racing and blood pressur very high,as i did drink quite a bit at the time due to the loss of my Dad the doctors put it down to that but then it was getting more seriuos,I had a M>R>I at papworth which was inconclusive,a Eco Cardiogram,a blue dye in the groan, when he did that he kinda took longer with me than all the other patience ,he told me that he had never seen what he was seeing in over 35 years in his job, that it is only summit that you can be born with but never survive, that scared me.Then i went for a CT scan with dye again. This all happened from Jan 2012 to Jan 2013. Then i went to see the Consultant at Peterborough from Papworth, there and then he booked me in for major heart surgery. A week later i was in Papworth awaiting my opperation on 23rd Jan 2013 at 11.00am.The opp took longer than normal nearly 5 hours,It was discovered that one of my arterys was attached to my lung thus pumping bad blood into my heart which was causing all my breating cerculation and blood pressure and alot more problems. The opp had a few problems but i got through it.I was a good patient and cus i am only 45 my recovery was fast, all the staff were out of this world, aways around or never to far away, the food was loverly and tea cups lol.if you needed anything they would go out off there way to get it for you. The Consultant was very impressed with my recovery that i was able to get home for my birthday by 8th Feb. On 10th april 2013 i went to clinic to see my Consultant, he said it was a joy to see me so well after their over-sewing of abnormal origin of left main and two fold bypass grafting. i remain on a number of drugs good ones. My life was in papworths hands and they gave my children there mum back, thanks to everyone that assited in my opp,and to all the nurses and physio team that help in my recovery owe you big time xxxxxxxxxxx Now 6 months later and i feel fab, more than i ever thought i could xxxxxxxxx Thank you to my Consultant with all my heart for beleiving in me and taking further steps to ensure my health,
