This is a review based on my Mums care in the hospital. First of all I'd like to say that the nurses on Penn ward were fantastic and bent over backwards to help my Mum and give my family piece of mind. My Mum required physio and being quite large this proved difficult for this hospital. Often, the nurses would be told that the physios were coming round in the morning. They would then hoist my Mum out of bed into a wheel chair and leave her to wait for the physio team. More often than not, they would turn up late in the afternoon and sometimes during visiting at 3pm. This led to my Mum becoming very uncomfortable and often in pain for hours. this also led to her being upset and I think this made her unwilling to try to get better because she was in so much pain and discomfort. She died on the morning of 25th of March. Since this date I have been trying to comunicate with the hospital. Emails go unanswered and when we do here from them its nothing but excuses and buck passing. Even if I was suffering a heart attack I'd ask to be taken to Epping!
"Lack of comunication"
