I rang delivery suite on 19th June 2013 to say I was in labour with my 6th child & would need to come in fairly soon. I was told delivery was too busy & no one could speak to me & to ring ante natal day assessment. They told me to come down in an hrs time which I did. I was left in the ante natal waiting room having major contractions in front of everyone waiting for their appointments. My husband went & complained 3 times, but was just told they were very busy. After an hr & a half my contractions were so bad I stormed out in tears saying I would call an ambulance. I was high risk due to my age, 41, & that I had a c section for my first, plus it was my sixth but they hadn't even looked at my notes that I gave them when arrived. They then found me room in delivery & my son was born 55minutes later! It totally spoilt the whole experience as I was so upset & angry. To top it off they wouldn't let me go home til the next day as they said I was at risk of a haemorrhage, but then nobody checked on me all night so I could've bled to death in my sleep, not that I got any sleep. I had my 5 other children here & was always happy with my treatment but I certainly wouldn't want to go there agin.
