"I am now able to walk six miles without a walking stick"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

After having my hip operation six years ago, the ball end which fitted into my hip bone socket had cracked.

I was heard walking down the long hospital with a loud squeak and knocking which people could hear the length of a cricket pitch away.

For my second operation on the same leg, I had the bone shortened and a long shaft and larger ball fitted. The staff were very good.

I am now able to walk six miles without a walking stick.

The second surgeon has done a wonderful job. Also, all of the food is very good.
