"Incredibly depressed since leaving A&E."

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

Anything else?

After not receiving the correct care from my GP, the NHS direct advised me to go to the nearest accident and emergency department and speak to a member of the mental health crisis team. After a four hour wait someone finally came to see me, but all I was told was unless I try to commit suicide there is no help. So in order for me to receive help I have to seriously hurt myself and seriously risk dying? I came out more depressed than when I went in. I would seriously recommend going somewhere else if you need to use the crisis team.
