Following a fall on Sun. 07.07.13 I attended A & E at approx. 01.30 with a bloody, swollen nose & lip. The receptionist was very helpful & suggested I see the Emergency Care Practitioner so that I would receive attention more quickly than waiting for triage as the department was quite busy. Having waited for about 45 minutes I was attended to by the female ECP who was very good - kind, efficient, thorough & most professional. On her advice I made a follow-up appointment for further examination of my nose after the swelling had gone down & returned to A & E on Fri. 12.07.13 at 09.00. My wait was less than 10 minutes & I was seen by a male nurse. He too was very professional - kind, reassuring & patient. Fortunately I need no further treatment. I have in the past attended this hospital for treatment in this & other wards & have always been most satisfied with the attention received from all medical, nursing & admin. staff & believe in giving credit where it's due so that staff know they're appreciated & can continue to keep up a high standard of professional care.
