About: Hinchingbrooke Hospital

Anything else?

My Dad had an appointment at 10.15am on the above date to see a rheumatology consultant. He was feeling a little unwell and the nurse that he saw prior to seeing the consultant was advised he was poorly. The nurse was extremely caring and asked if my Dad was a diabetic which he was and she then tested his blood sugar. It was low and she straight away went to get my Dad something to eat. The nurse continued to monitor my Dad until we left. My Dad began to feel better within a few minutes of having a snack and some orange juice. I never got the nurse's name and just wanted to say a big thank you to her, if it wasn't for her my Dad may have suffered a hypo and I am very grateful that she was so intuitive and recognised my Dad's symptoms. I know my Dad would also like to pass on a huge thank you to this lady and I would appreciate if this could be relayed back to her.

I would just like to say thank you for your response, and I am very pleased that your father received prompt treatment that he so needed.

I will share your feedback with the Rheumatology team, and I am very sure we will be able to find out who the nurse was that looked after you.

Kind Regards to you both
