"A&E Vist Kidney Stone"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

Anything else?

Went to A&E after feeling unwell all day Saturday, ending in lots of pain. Department was quite busy but was seen to straight away as I really was in quite a lot of discomfort. Given pain relief which helped slightly nurses and doctor extremly helpful. Sent for a seiries of X-Rays to confirm the problem. All extremley efficent and fast. Luckily managed to pass the stone while at the hospital which was kept and sent for tests. Would like to thank all staff especially the doctor who treated me (sorry forgot the names) they should be extremley proud of the jobs they do.

Dear Glen, I imagine you must have been in a great deal of pain when you came in to emergency care. I am glad that the source of this pain has now passed. It is comforting to hear that the team at North Tyneside responded with compassion and ensured that you received all the help you needed in a timely and effective manner. We do encourage our staff to feel very proud of the contribution they make every day to delivering high quality healthcare . I believe they feel proudest of all when patients and their families are able to describe just what a difference this kind care made to them. Thank you for taking the time to share your story - I will pass it on with your thanks. With warm wishes, Annie Annie Laverty
