I cannot speak highly enough about the excellent service and treatment I received at Worthing Hospital. Having been a patient at this Hospital previously because of a cardiac condition I always experienced a first class care and service. It nowadays (most unfortunately) seems to be 'en vogue' to criticize the NHS for just about anything imaginable, varying from poor A&E, to inadequate service for the elderly, the long waiting time etc. etc. May I suggest that those who are so critical have a close look at health and medicare systems abroad and then 'judge'. I speak from experience, having lived and worked in various countries in Western Europe and the USA . Though I am not a medical professional, I still feel qualified to make comparisons. There obviously is always room for improvement, however the NHS (all aspects of the system: from our local surgery, the superb ambulance service to the Hospital) deserves praise and admiration!
