Anything else?
My wife went to A&E with severe abdominal pain, a lady doctor carried out the internal exam,no scan was offered just an X Ray which we felt was the wrong choice. a male Gyno then came in and carried out the same internal exam she had just had, he told her "you know what is coming dont you". She was in extreme pain and gritted her teeth and got on with it. What ethical right has a male Gyno got to carry out this kind of test on a women without obtaining consent, just because he called in a chaperon does not make it right, What did he have to do the test for a second time, did he not trust the lady doctor. I am disgusted with this doctor, just because he has a white coat does not give him the right to touch another women in this way it is ethically and morally wrong, I wanted to take out an official complaint and take legal advice but my wife has been so ill she cannot face taking this further. There is no need in this day and age for these impersonal examinations, the scans can pick any problems up, she was sent away without a diagnosis and told to return the following week if the pain had not gone away, she ended up suffering in pain for several weeks because she couldn't face going back, it is a violation of my wife, and the hospital know full well any such intimate examination should have obtained consent, my wife was in a vulnerable situation and he took advantage of this, disgusted
"Violation"
