"Appalling Treatment for Pensioners"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

Anything else?

On thursday 27th June my mother was booked in for tests at her local surgery which she attended the Doctor then told her she needed to be admitted to hospital ASAP we later found out that he suspected she had an anyurism in her leg.My father took her to Pinderfields hospital straight away ( they were there for 11.15am) the same day. After what I can only describe as a complete and utter abortion of organisation she was passed from pillar to post for various tests etc and then told to wait in the waiting room for that particular ward It then took until 10.30pm for a bed to be ready for her. this is not acceptable, both my parents are in their 70s. She was given vague information regarding her symptoms (she was told it was a blood clot in her leg)and sent home the following day with tremodol and various other medication and told to come back if her symptoms got any worse. Noboby actually cared !|( the problem being her right foot goes completely blue and she has horrendous pain all up her leg which has resulted in her not sleeping except in half hour stints).Needless to say over the weekend it got progressively worse and on the wednesday I came out of work and took her back to Pindefields Hospital where yet again we had the same procedure. We sat from 11.15am and were shipped from department to department for various tests. We then sat in a room with lots of other people from around 3pm until 8pm that night when my Mum was given more medication ( Morphine and others )The Doctor told her that she need an MRI Scan and he had marked it urgent, a week later and still nothing. I do hope that somebody has the time to reply to this email. We visited the hospital at the end of June and then again in July
