Anything else?
When I went in to have my daughter I was extremely disappointed as I heard such great things about the maternity ward but they couldn't have been more wrong in my case! Me my boyfriend mum and sister were left in a room for 4.5 hours without anyone coming in the check me! I requested the epidural when I first got in and one if the midwifes said that I was next on the list to get it well it never happened! Eventually when I did get checked I was 10cm and was told that I had to push without the epidural. When i got into the room i told the midwife i was going to be sick from the gas and air she told me to "hold on a minuet" next thing i know im covered in vomit and its all over the bed too. i was pushing for an hour and a half and the midwife wouldn't do anything to help me, my baby was stuck and she was getting distressed and her heart rate was dropping and still nothing! When I was crying because obviously it was hurting the midwife told me to "stop being so stupid" and "just push and get over it" which I found shocking in all honesty! A different midwife came in and said that I needed Episiotomy which my midwife refused to do and said that "if I gave more effort I could push through it! Eventually when my daughter was born I was in the final stage of delivery of the placenta which she grabbed hold of the umbilical cord and started to pull out the placenta which split it open and it when everywhere. After the delivery I fell asleep for about 3 hours and when I woke up my sister had to grab the vomit trays and hold them because the midwife once again told me to "hold on" also when my daughter was born they didn't suction my daughters nose and mouth so for the next 24 hours she was vomiting brown gunk! I will never go with frimley park when having a baby ever again! Other than the maternity ward I have always had a good experience with the hospital in a+e and the physiotherapy wards
