First had an emergency appointment at night for a internal checkup (just hands), doctor said there was no problems, probably just sore because I was "gay". This was in February. Used my local doctors since, in agony and bleeding with puss and only getting worse. Referral was sent to the hospital at the start of April for an endoscopy. I called the hospital in the middle of June to see what was happening and they told me I would know 5 days from the referral being sent. I told them it had been months, and the response acknowledged that and promised to call back with an appointment in a couple of days.
A month and numerous calls later, I'm still unaware as to when my appointment is. It's getting to the point where I'm going to need to go to A&E as I've been on the brink of passing out and losing a lot of blood. Communication is terrible, considering this is an "emergency situation" which were their words to me not mine.
The amount of time it is taking is beyond belief. If I knew how to complain appropriately and get some form of apology I would do that in a heartbeat. So here I am, still unaware of what's happening, when my appointment is and if I'll even survive until then. I've never had issues with the hospital before when I've been before, but as of right now I'm disgusted.
"No appointment and getting to the point where I need A&E"
