My Gramp suffered from a heart attack on the last bank holiday of this year. He was taken from Neville Hall Hospital to the University of Wales Heath hospital where I have to say the patient care was first class. Having not been able to have stents put in, he received a double bypass and was out of hospital 7 days later. He is now recovering at home and although he gets tired, he is taking steps for getting better. I would just like to say that I was very scared at the thought of him having such a big operation but the Nursing and Surgical staff were able to put our families fears to one side and offered (I repeat) 1st class NHS treatment. We are so lucky to have the NHS and we must make sure that other hospitals learn from the great practice at the University of Wales Hospital, Cardiff. From the moment the ambulance assisted right through to the day he was released, I know that he was extremely pleased with how he was treated and looked after. On behalf of my family, I would
