"Charity kiosk at Arrowe Park Hospital"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

(as other),

Since the opening of Arrowe Park Hospital there has been a small kiosk for the sale of goods to raise funds for various charities. This has now been demolished, the decision being made by the new chief executive.

He says on completion of the work being carried out that there will be a place for charities to shake a collection box, but no sale of goods will be allowed, that any sales will be in the basement in Bowmans café.

He has either no idea or is not interested in the bad feeling he has caused. This kiosk was good for patients, somewhere they could go away from the ward maybe buy something, meet other people or just have a browse around.

Over the years we have raised £1000s of pounds for Wirral heart beat, the heart centre at St Catherines hospital, through the sale of goods from the kiosk

A response from the chief executive would be appreciated.
