Over 65 years I've had several ops and procedures, and come round in varying degrees of discomfort. This time I surfaced as if waking from a pleasant snooze, no confusion, headache or sickness and feeling very happy. On first meeting before the op, the doctor came across as a gentleman in both senses of the word. He was polite, sympathetic and with a lovely sense of humour. Furthermore, I have veins that collapse at the sight of a needle, but he inserted a cannula with incredible ease, and all I have to show for it is a tiny hole. Thank you.
