"Waiting for passenager ambulance"

About: Good Hope Hospital / Neuro rehabilitation West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust

(as a relative),

I had to take my father to Rehab Centre at Goodhope hospital in July, we had an ambulance going and the paramedic went to a wheelchair, there was none in the department at all.

Eventually when my father was called in to see the doctor they had to ask another patient for his chair. After we seen the doctor I requested an ambulance back home, this was at 3. 25pm we waited an 1 3/4hours. My father is diabetic and needed to eat at 4. 30pm.

There is not even a water dispenser in this department we had to ask a nurse for a drink. I had to keep asking for updates for the ambulance, with the answer, it has been allocated and is on its way round.

This is disgusting and no way to treat an elderly patient.
