Following my referral to RNOH for hip replacement my first ever hospital referral to a hospital for surgery, I was very nervous and apprehensive I was really impressed with the speed in which I was seen, the professional and understanding manner demonstrated by all of the teams throughout and the information given to me. As this was the first time I had undergone any operation I was naturally quite nervous on the day of my operation. The surgical team were very diligent with pre-op questions and the Anaesthetist went through the types of Anaesthetic choices and recommended explained reassured me. My operation went really well. Ward 4 nursing team who cared for me were also brilliant, they made sure that i was comfortable. nurses were professional, thorough, supportive and friendly throughout as well as instilling confidence during period .Nursing assistants were brilliant they are motivated and conscientious All the staff in ward 4 , from the cleaners upward were friendly professional and extremely courteous. I felt I was looked after impeccably. However i was transferred to Rehabilitations Ward for day before my discharge. And off course they looked after me equally well. My thanks to the nurses and staff at rehab ward. In general context I must point out that a incident at the hospital, during my visit to Joint School I was in the car park looking at the directions sent to me , when a member of RNOH walked over helped walk through the icy car park and lead me to safety and escorted me to the joint school. I feel really privileged to have been under the care of the consultant's team at RNOH, in particular his staff in the outpatient’s clinic and Staff on ward 4. They should all realise that they are truly appreciated.
"Thank you!!"
