"Thank you PRUH for my Father's care"

Anything else?

My 96 yr old Dad was treated so well last week . A and E team worked efficiently and kindly to speed him to X ray and ECG. Dehydrated. , he was quickly put on a drip and moved on to EAU where the staff were kindness and professionalism itself . Despite his dementia and deafness , all staff took time and trouble to talk with him and explain their next steps and make him comfortable . Nursing care was amazing . My brother and I remained with him for much of the time and throughout ,we were treated with respect and kindness . Everything was explained and we were given every opportunity to ask questions . By now very very poorly with Sepsis and infection , we had to have some difficult conversations with Doctors about Dad but again , staff couldn't have been more compassionate or helpful . By now in Surgical 1 and in a single room for privacy , Dad was made as comfortable as possible . Nothing was too much trouble for nurses and we felt Dad was honoured and respected . He died peacefully with my brother there and we can't thank the PRUH enough for their care and support .Finally , the bereavement office were so very kind in helping us obtain the death certificate and I cannot praise too highly our ( 2nd good)experience of the PRUH .
