"Never Again"

About: Royal Surrey County Hospital

Anything else?

Another NHS establishment where the Pen-Pushing-Parasites guzzle all available resources, & starve the Medical/Surgical depts. My shoes disappeared while I was in the Operating theatre. This was brushed off with a peremptory "They'll have been stolen, you won't see them again!" & all & sundry thought it a huge joke. I was moved to a " freshly cleaned" room with Vomit &/or Faeces caked on the window curtains & a 2nd hand Phone card discarded on the "freshly cleaned" floor. The box of rubber gloves is fixed outside the door so that (the very few) staff who use them at all, use then first to open the door! Need I add that the door plates & handles were never once cleaned during my 4 day stay. Neither were the wash-basin taps in the room -- bur then, not a single member of staff ever washed their hands there anyway. After an Operation where statistically 20% of survivors need Catheterisation, on Friday pm my Catheter was removed & every staff member with the necessary qualifications to either fit a Catheter, or to fix one that failed went home. When I needed one (Midnight Friday, I was left in acute agony until someone came on duty 0900 on Sat. Result: My operation was a complete & utter failure & a total waste of ereryone's time. All because the Pen-Pushers decide it's now necessary to employ staff at the weekend.
