"I had an ileostomy operation for ..."

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (King's Lynn)

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had an ileostomy operation for bowel cancer in December 2007. I had great confidence in Mr Z Khan and his team. I was kept informed about everything to do with my case and the pain control was marvellous - on a scale of 1 to 10, it was never higher than 3! I received wonderful care for the 12 days I was there( Feltwell Ward). The support that I have had since coming home has been excellent, too. All praise to Marion Stewart and my stoma nurse, Gill Skipper. I hope to have the ileostomy reversed later this year and will be happy to have the same people looking after me.

.

What could be improved

I cannot really think of anything negative to say about any of my experiences. My stay and all the investigations and tests were very professionally carried out, - no complaints at all!
