"More Administration Problems in Royal Preston"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Anything else?

My wife arrived at RPH at 0930 to be admitted for Tenckhoff. Preparation was meant to be undertaken at 1100. She was not seen until 1500 - apparently there were no beds/ward free. She had surgery at 1645. I was informed that she would be admitted to Ward 3 after surgery. I provided the Team with the contact phone details. No one contacted me after the surgery. When I arrived at Ward 3 - was informed that she was admitted to Ward 16. I turned up at Ward 16, only to be told by Sister that she was on her way - but no one knew where she was. I received a call from the Consultant today inquiring whether my wife was discharged as she was not in the system. I am speechless. How has the NHS descended to this? An apology or expressions of regret will not do.
