Anything else?
I was a little anxious, not having visited the department before. I needn't have worried. The nursing staff were fantastic. The member of staff who came to take me down the theatre was reassuring. The op went very well. The aftercare was great. I was treated with the utmost respect. Nothing was too much trouble. The occupational therpist was so kind and patient. 3 days after the op I was in quite a lot of pain, the physio was very unsympathetic and said I should be out of hospital by now and that I "had elected to have the procedure done"! They tried to make me go up the step, so theycould discharge me from physio aspect, but I was in too much pain. They humiliated me in front of about 6/8 staff members and out patients, then said I should go back to my bed. They left me to do this alone after having moved everything out of my reach, they never bothered to see if I was ok. Luckily the physios that came on the Saturday and Sunday were much more patient friendly. I was discharged on the Sunday, 5 days after my op.
