"Excellent quality of care"

About: Castle Hill Hospital

Anything else?

I first attended Castle Hill hospital last year as an emergency transfer from another hospital. I was having a heart attack; from the paramedics to the team of doctors and nursing staff waiting for me on arrival everyone was excellent. Lots of tests followed and a few days on CMU where the staff were brilliant - dealing with my concerns with sensitivity and care. Following my discharge I've since been back to the hospital several times for more tests etc. On every occasion I have been treated with the same courtesy and consideration. 3 separate overnight stays to have stents fitted (the last one on Monday of this week - 1 July) have been further proof to me of the truly excellent care from everyone involved. The consultant cardiologist was marvellous, the receptionist friendly and helpful, the staff in the cath lab reassuring and efficient, and nothing too much trouble for the ward staff. The unit is also very clean and welcoming. I have to travel quite a distance to Castle Hill and could have gone to a more local cardiology centre but chose to stay with Castle Hill because of the excellent care and the great faith I have come to have in the whole team. The NHS comes in for a lot of criticism but I truly cannot fault the treatment I have had. Thank you very much indeed to everyone.
