"hysterectomy"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Anything else?

I was very scared, not only of the operation, but also of the nursing care following the procedure. I was pleasantly surprised that every nurse I came into contact with was helpful and patient. The general cleanliness of the ward was excellent. The food was questionable but edible. I was discharged after two days and was not given any advice about what exercises I can do or when I should start. Although I was sent home with plenty of pain killers, I have not needed to take much. I would like to give my very grateful thanks to doctors and nursing staff.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, we will make sure this is passed back to the teams. We are pleased to hear that overall your experience was good, and staff were supportive. We would encourage you to contact the gynaecology department or speak to our PALS department (01296 316042) if you are unsure about what exercise you can do now. We hope you are recovering well. Best wishes Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust
