My appointment at Colposcopy was today 2nd July 2013. The two health care professionals who dealt with me were outstanding ! Their professionalism and knowledge was countered with genuine care. They injected appropriate humour into the situation and I left feeling reassured but with the information I needed to move forward. I cannot express enough how grateful I was to these two members of staff. Whilst I prefer this review to remain anonymous I would hope that this is passed on to the relevant people. Thank you.

Also good to hear that an appropriate amount of humour helped to put you at ease too! Having this procedure can be a worrying time for patients and I am sure that your positive experience will help to provide future patients with reassurance. I did respond to your post last week - unfortunately for reasons that we have yet to understand these have not been accepted by the NHS Choices moderation team. I know they are currently looking into why my responses submitted last Friday night have not been recorded in their system. I have chosen to rewrite this today rather than experience any further delay in getting a response back to you. It is unfortunate and frustrating at this end because I am committed to providing early replies to patients and families - I feel it is the least I can do when people take the time to get in touch to give us valuable feedback that enables us to improve care. I am sorry that difficulties with the NHS Choices website have prevented me from doing this
