"Outstanding care on Ward 62"

It was over a year ago now since my hospital stay and the care I received by everyone on ward 62 was simply outstanding. I was back at home, following major surgery in less than 48 hours and I am sure that the dedication by all staff, from my consultant to the auxiliary team and greatly helped in my speedy recovery.

What was so positive for me was being told there was a possibility I could go home, all being well and this seemed to spur me on. I was amazed how hard the night staff in particular worked, 2 nurses were constantly on the go looking after a full ward of, if I remember correctly 20 patients - they so often did not have time for a break.

In my experience, the NHS gave me excellent care, staff were always cheerful and professional, but sadly at times seemed overworked and constantly "on the go".
