"Good care but food was awful"

My wife was recently in Maelor for a breast cancer operation. I cannot speak highly enough about the treatment and care that she received.

The consultant and all the ward staff were brilliant - nothing was to much trouble. The only downside to her visit was the food provided. It was absolutely awful. Everyone in her ward was of the same opinion.

Most of it was obviously bought in and of very poor quality - perhaps a sign of all the cutbacks. The only good thing about the catering was the drinks provided which were all very good and frequent. As an ex catering manager I would suggest you look carefully at your supplier.
