"Orrell Ward: Give them all a wage rise, that's what I say"

About: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I was on Orrell Ward following a burst appendix. Absolutely brilliant, dedicated, professional staff, nothing was too much trouble.

When I knew I was being admitted, I was scared because of recent news about hospitals. I won't be again, one is so well looked after on this ward, the health care is constant. Mr Cameron MP should come here and watch, he would be impressed.

Give them all a wage rise, that's what I say. Given the theatre staff make me feel at ease.

The only thing I would change is the use of mobile phones after 11pm.

Thank you very much for your most positive feeback following your recent stay on Orrell Ward.

It is always appreciated when someone takes the time to share a story which reflects the high standard of care we deliver to our patients.

I will ensure that this is shared with the staff from the ward, the Director of Performance and Head of Nursing for the Division of Surgery.

Best wishes for your continued recovery.
