"MRI and Children's ward"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Anything else?

My son is 7mth old and he had an MRI and a Lumbar Puncture yesterday, he was sedated for this, i got up this morning and took the plaster off my sons back, he has 5 needlemarks in his back, i may not be familiar with this procedure but i'm damn sure he isn't supposed to have 5 needlemarks on his spine! I am also disgusted as yesterday i was in tears because they refused to let me in the room with them while they were carrying out the Lumbar Puncture. He may of been sedated and he wouldnt of known that i was there but that isn't the point, he is my son and i wanted to be there, that should of been my choice not theirs. Also the person who was carrying out the procedure was very rude and seemed like they were avoiding my questions, it was the worst experience i have ever had in any hospital, and i will never be going back. Also it doesn't make you feel very comfortable when the staff are extremely rude and ignorant to each other, and also when the staff come out of the MRI area with their phones, handbags with metal on and wearing earrings and watches. It's disgusting they need to learn to set an example! One more bone to pick, i was in hospital with my son last Monday, we left on Home Leave until Wednesday, we were in the same bed and the bedding hadn't been changed since Monday morning...and i had to change it myself on Monday morning it is absolutely disgusting!
