Had to have the same minor procedure at Cheltenham General last December and was totally amazed at the difference between the two hospitals. Apart from my Consultant and the theatre staff at Cheltenham who are/were brilliant! Using the above ratings, Cheltenham would have received 1 star across the board compared to Gloucester Royal. I was very, very anxious but was treated with compassion, respect and care from nurses and doctors across the board. Everything was explained to me and I felt able to ask questions and seek reassurance without feeling fobbed off or dismissed.
