What I liked
My Son James was born on Sunday 18/05/08. He developed problems during the labour and my fiancee Lisa had to have an emergeny C section.
I have nothing but praise for both the midwifes during the labour and post care along with the doctors and nurses who perfomed the c section.
The mid wifes themselves deserve special praise. Four mid wid wifes in partcular were amazing.
During Labour, a mid wife was so attentive to my fiancee's pain during the labour. She actually worked longer than her 12 hour shift so that Lisa discomfort was kept to a minumun.
The mid wife handed over to another mid wife who was amazing in providing assurances leading up to the c section.
In post care ward (St Mary Munion labour ward) Lisa received some amazing care. The mid wifes could not do enough, even when they were busy. Would especially like to point out two more midwives. They both went the extra mile and always had such a cheerful and professional attitude at all times.
What could be improved
Some of the windows in the ward were drafty.
