About: Broomfield Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

In February 2007 we took our then 1,5 month old son with meningeal symptoms to A&E only to be told that our son had a "typical tantrum". He was in such severe pain that he was head banging & having high pitch screaming. Later the following night we took our child to Cambridge Addenbrooke Children's hospital where we were hospitalised immediately in the middle of the night. Our son had aceptic meningitis. Had he had viral meningitis he would had probably died of a "typical tantrum" diagnose.
