"Waiting times"

About: Inclusion Matters Wirral

(as the patient),

After waiting six months, still heard nothing and despite reassurances that waiting times will be lowered, this is yet to happen. I waited less under the old provider. This is an actual disgrace and even my GP is angry after numerous calls and letters have been sent. Yet I have seen patients like myself wait only a couple of weeks. A+E cannot do anything. Very disillusioned with the system.

Dear Shadowplay

I'm sorry that you are experiencing difficulties currently and have been unable, so far, to access treatment.

Inclusion Matters Wirral offers a stepped care approach and as such has differing waiting times for differing interventions.

Unfortunately due to the high numbers of people requiring treatment at higher levels and relatively low numbers of therapists able to deliver those interventions, waiting times are an issue.

We are working tirelessly to improve the situation and are engaged in training programmes to increase the number of therapists able to deliver high level and high quality treatments for people suffering from anxiety and depression.

As you can appreciate, however this all takes time and we are exploring options with local commissioners to alleviate this problem.

As you can see from other patients who have posted on this forum that working with us can really help people deal with their issues and improve the quality of their lives. It is my fervent hope that you will receive help soon.
