"Incision and Drain operation"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

Anything else?

I had discovered a lump in my leg and went to the A&E department where i was attended quickly by a lovely Doctor who advised me that i needed an I&D. I was sent to ward 9 for assessment and again the staff were really good explaining what would happen and when. i was then transferred to the N.E. surgery wing. what a fabulous place, single rooms en-suite bathrooms and amazing staff. I was visited by the surgeon who explained everything about the op which i had the following morning it all went well and the aftercare i received was second to none. The staff in the N.E. wing were fabulous. nothing was too much trouble for them. they made me feel really comfortable while i stayed there many thaks to all involved in my treatment
