"Professor Quenbys miscarriage clinic "

About: University Hospital (Coventry) / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

January 2013 I was lucky to receive a referral to professor Quenbys miscarriage clinic. I have gone through 3 heartbreaking miscarriages. (I was just about to give up and get my head around possibly not ever becoming what I always wanted to be, simply a mummy) In the past other hospitals had past me from pillar to post and made me feel worthless and didn't bother getting to the route course of why this kept on happening to me "a healthy young woman"

I was so very lucky to have my first appointment with Professor Quenby, she was lovely and down to earth, we discussed my history of miscarriages and within 5 minutes she unofficially hit the nail on the head with what my problem was, I was sent for blood tests to confirm what she suspected - I was in fact suffering from underactive thyroid as well as sticky blood, I had no problems conceiving but these health problems contributed to me losing my babies. I had my blood results in a matter of weeks and again got to see professor Quenby who explained the simple route of medications I was to take - In a matter of approx 2 months I was so ecstatic and overjoyed to take a pregnancy test and have it come up with a positive, as soon as Professor Quenbys staff (sorry I forgot his name but my goodness he has been such great support to myself and partner, again very down to earth and kind - he will remember me being the lady that cried because she was not used to good news...). picked up my baby's heartbeat I was put on Clexane injections to keep my pregnancy going, I was also monitored every 1-2 weeks by this wonderful member of Quenbys team just to keep an eye on how my pregnancy was going.

After 12 weeks I was discharged from the fertility clinic as things have gone so well, my little bundle of joy is due on the 8th of December 2013 - I would not have got this far without the wonderful service from Professor Quenby and her staff's care - I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I would also like to mention Professor Quenbys assistant (Kerri) who dealt with all my queries and appointments she was also so kind and down to earth, you are a credit to your wonderful team. Many, Many thanks
