"One gripe about Breast Clinic at Walsall Manor Hospital"

Firstly all the staff in the breast clinic were so nice when I visited this morning after being recalled after a routine mammogram. The staff were very helpful, kind and friendly especially 'Leane'.

I had 2 xrays, an examination and an ultra sound, the staff looking after me in the rooms were lovely people.

However I do have a gripe about one aspect of the 2 latter procedures in that other staff not connected with my case kept coming in and out of the room while I was being examined. Yes they were female but that does not give them the right to invade my privacy at a vulnerable time, why was the door not closed or locked and why did the staff concerned not apologise and retreat back out of the room instead of causing me embarrassment.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I am sorry that you had a poor experience of our service and I agree that this must have been embarrassing for you.

I have spoken with the manager of the service who has openly discussed your comments with the team on duty that day. It has been agreed that in future privacy will be promoted by restricting access during examination times. The team have reviewed their workflow and stock levels to ensure that unnecessary movement in and out of the examination rooms is minimised.
