I was seen in January and was told I would need to be seen in April. I did not receive an appointment letter, I called twice and was not called back despite a promise to do so. On my third call I was told that I was not on the waiting list at all, this also happened last year. When I told her that I would sue if my eyesight became worse - lo and behold I was on the list and received my appointment letter two days later. My appointment was for 3.15 and I was seen at about 5.40 it is a very cruel way of keeping waiting lists down for political reasons and patients should be told when they are seen that they should not expect to be seen again unless they kick up a fuss
