I spent today undergoing investigation/treatment for a fractured foot within the orthopaedics department in the huntsmen wing/operating theatres. My experience today was excellent, I was very well looked after at every stage of the procedure involving general anaesthetic and examination in theatre. The consultant/surgeon I saw was very helpful and caring, as were all of the nursing staff and anaesthetists, all of whom explained everything clearly at every stage. After care in recovery was brilliant too- I cannot praise the staff who were on duty today between 9:30am and 3pm highly enough. Together, a potentially frightening and stressful experience was made very easy and stress-free on my part and that of my partner. I am very thankful to everyone involved, nothing was too much trouble for any of them.
