"My father was taken to the hospital ..."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

(as a relative),

What I liked

My father was taken to the hospital on 19th November 2007. He sadly died on 24th November.

During his stay I have nothing but praise for the doctors and nurses on Lemsford ward.

He was treated with such kindness and the staff had such a caring attitude not only to my father but to me also.

He was kept pain free and comfortable and treated with the respect he deserved, allowing him to die with dignity.

Thankyou Lemsford Ward.

We were saddened to hear about your father’s death, but would like to thank you for your kind comments about the care and treatment he received while in the QEII. They have been passed on to our staff on Lemsford ward in particular.

With regard to our switchboard, we have more than enough lines coming in to the Trust to deal with most call levels. Occasionally, however, one or more of these lines can go down or develop faults without our knowledge. Whenever people who contact our switchboard tell us about their problem in getting through, we can then get the telephone company to investigate – which they do very quickly.
