Anything else?
Following self-harming I attended A&E on 20th June . The nurse practitioner was fantastic and the most helpful any of the staff have ever been there. Not only was she not judgmental but she made a real effort to ensure that she understood the situation and was thoughtful about her responses. I was initially reluctant to stay to talk to someone but she was able to reiterate the things that I had told her in a way that it was possible to see that value of choosing to do that. I did not feel pressured to choose one option over another at any point which has previously been a problem during conversations with other staff. Throughout she was able to see the whole picture and was very reassuring. I was particularly impressed by her ability to explain everything that she was doing and what would happen next. This was a far better experience than I have had previously.
