About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

Anything else?

My husband has just been transferred from McKissock Ward to his local hospital having been admitted as an emergency just 6 days ago for emergency neuro surgery. The acute care he was provided was stunningly good. The neuro surgeon who undertook the surgery on a Saturday rang me before the op to explain everything, met me at the door of theatre to reassure me and rang me again after the surgery to let me know how it went. He spent a a day or so in ITU with fantastic care and then was moved back to McKissock ward where everyone was compassionate and helpful. An sudden diagnosis of brain tumour is really scary, the team at Atkinson Morely Unit were brilliant. Thanks.
