Anything else?
I am continually having to correct the information that is stored on the system or in the written notes. In addition the niotes to my GP and those requested by me are never being sent. Each time I have the preminary eye check I also check visually to confirm my address details are correct as it took several visist for this to be resolved, despite providing teh information to the nurse/hca performing the test or to the reception staff who assured me that the details had been updated. I recently discovered that no notes had ever been sent to my GP. I then discovered that when I informed them of the change of GP address they had entered the wrong details, so even if they had been sent they would never have been received. I had long given up hope of receiving my own copy of the letters. I find the appointments system strange in that the time means nothing in terms of when anyone is seen. There doesnt seem much point in setting a specific slot if it can be much later before actually seeing the consultant. I often struggle to get to early appointments due to traffic etc. and yet when I arrive I find I am always waiting to be seen. The worst has been over two hours, with no-one explaining why everything is so slow, but is typically about one hour. Hopefully it looks as though this has actually been improving. of late. The consultants/doctors have been great and always taken time to explain and talk through any concerns and issues especially when faced with surgery.
