My mother who has alzheimers and various other medical conditions was rushed to LRI on saturday via ambulance the paramedics were superb and very understanding and later on they found me in the a and e and asked me how she was what a lovely gesture that was. In A and E it was hectic but she got good care and I appreciate that a lot of people there were in a worse condition than my mother. She was transferred up to ward 16 later on and during the night she was transferred to ward 19. When I visited ward 16 the registrar was superb and really enjoyed his job and made time to see me. On ward 19 I found the nurses were very busy but the nursing assistants were very good providing good care for some very demanding patients and I was shocked at the abuse that they had to put up with especially aggressive and racial but they took it in their stride and I empathised with them. The only moan I have is the time it takes to discharge and provide medication from the pharmacy it took 4 hours and also the amount of paperwork these people have to do I appreciate the need for certain paperwork but it seems that the nurses are secretarys now and the care is second to that . Thank you all again for the excellent care especially to the paramedics I wish I had got their names but I know they started work at 6am on saturday morning and attended my mother at Enderby methodist church at about 11 am
"good feedback"
