Gold standard care on the three recent visits. Staff superb and compassionate. Heart centre outstanding, also Urology. Not at what I expected. standards of care very high but not supported by administration- my view that top down management have been letting down the very high quality staff. They deserve a better deal. Building is a nightmare. Posh atrium, cramped wards, Whose idea was it that patients in Recovery have to be wheeled through the atrium in public view, while semi-conscious on stretchers? However, surgeons and specialist nurses outstanding. Thank you! PS Please get rid of litter of cigarette butts outside the hospital. It creates an air of hopelessness, especially seeing patients smoking in dressing gowns! This is a good hospital. It needs its morale boosting and our support in Cumbria!
