I had 2 major operations last year and was an inpatient for a week on 2 separate occasions. The quality of the food at Thornbury Hospital was poor and on a par with NHS food. My second stay was in one of the rooms that needed refurbishing and was very shabby, was told by a nurse that the hospital had no money to refit all the rooms,
Funny that when my surgery in total for both operations came to over £9k and the surgeon only got about 25% even they said that the costs were disproportionate. I wrote a letter of complaint and never had a reply, they lost my patient information the second time.
