Felt experience at hospital was poor apart from volunteers who were polite and helpful.
Consultant was abrupt boarding on rude - didn't get up to shake hand and greet me. The chair for me to use was in the middle of the room and I could hardly hear the consultant who mumbled and didn't look at me. No handshake or anything at end of referral.
I felt as though I had been an inconvenience to the consultant and had wasted their time.
Consultants should have a form that patients fill in to rate their "bedside manner" and general people skills, and results should be available to patients who can select a different consultant.
