"Yet another "Epic Fail" trying to get referred to..."

About: Tameside General Hospital

Anything else?

It never ceased to amaze me how this hospital is allowed to get away with being so complete;y and utterly incompetent in their dealing with simple straight forward referals from GP's surgeries. My daughter needs to see a consultant for a problem with her knee which is causing her a lot of discomfort and yet again, I have found it impossible to get an outpatient referal to their Children's Orthopaedics department. Whether it's through the GP or through Choose and Book or any other means they fail you every single time! Now got to send her to Stepping Hill 10 miles away. I wouldn't mind but we only live round the corner!

‘’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved?

Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at John.Goodenough@tgh.nhs.uk
